1. Why does Lembas cost what it does?
Making a food product is like making a spaceship - it should either be done right the first time or not at all, as there is no room for error. We chose to have Lembas completely manufactured in Singapore, so we can fully monitor the entire process from ingredient quality to packaging integrity.
Single serve vs daily packaging - We considered many packagings and recipes when designing Lembas - ultimately a daily requirement sachet proved to be of the most value, environmentally and practically.
We also insisted on using quality ingredients. This is food that you're putting into your body, probably several times a month, and food is something we never compromise on. The quality of your body and your life is directly affected by the quality of the food you put in it. Rest assured that you're getting more than what you're paying for.
2. Has Lembas been approved by the relevant authorities?
Lembas has been reviewed, classified as a food product and approved for sale by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore.
3. What's the nutritional content of Lembas?
4. Can Lembas be used for weight loss?
Weight loss occurs when a person burns more calories than he/she consumes a day. Lembas can be used for weight loss by replacing a meal greater than 400 kcal, or the equivalent of a Filet o' Fish burger, with Lembas. All things being equal, there should be a calorie deficit.
5. Is Lembas vegan/vegetarian?
Lembas is vegan. We've verified the source of every single one of our ingredients to ensure that they are all plant-based and reasonably sustainable. We hope that Lembas will remove any headaches (figuratively and literally) that vegans get from ensuring they're consuming a complete and balanced diet. Spread the word!
6. How do I consume Lembas?
Each Lembas pack contains 4 servings, or 4 full meals. Follow the instructions on the pack for mixing. Each serving should be treated like a cup of coffee once mixed - best consumed as soon as possible and should not be left out in the open for more than half to one hour. Lembas can keep for a few days if refrigerated.
Each sachet of Lembas lasts for 1 month once opened and 2 years unopened so you don't have to worry about it going bad anytime soon.
7. When will I get my order?
Due to Covid, shipping has been delayed and you'll receive your order 3-4 business days. Thank you for your understanding.
8. I live outside of Singapore/Southeast Asia, can I still place an order?
Unfortunately the cost of international shipping in addition to the cost price of Lembas renders it quite pointless so we don't ship internationally now. We're working towards expanding to sell Lembas locally in other countries soon so subscribe to our newsletter!
9. Do you have any other flavours other than vanilla and chocolate?
We're experimenting with many other flavours and would like to introduce Asian-themed flavours in future such as matcha and green tea, but for now our vanilla is the one to beat! We'd love to hear suggestions for what you'd like so tell us!
